The instructions that are supplied with your pet's Antirobe Aquadrops prescription should be followed. For any questions or concerns you may have about the medication, talk to your veterinarian or pharmacist.
Dogs
Infected wounds, abscesses, and dental infections:
1 mL to 6 mL per 10 pounds of your dog's body weight every 12 hours for up to 28 days
Osteomyelitis:
2 mL to 6 mL per 10 pounds of your dog's body weight every 12 hours for up to 28 days
Cats
Infected wounds, abscesses, and dental infections:
Your cat's dose will depend on how severe the condition is.
The dosing range is 5 mg per pound of your cat's body weight (1 mL of Antirobe Aquadrops per 5 pounds of your cat's body weight) to 15 mg per pound of your cat's body weight (3 mL of Antirobe Aquadrops per 5 pounds of your cat's body weight) every 24 hours.
The active ingredient in Antirobe Aquadrops is an antimicrobial known as clindamycin hydrochloride.
Avoid giving your pet Antirobe Aquadrops if they are allergic to clindamycin or lincomycin.
Avoid giving Antirobe Aquadrops to rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, horses, chinchillas, or ruminating animals.
Antirobe Aquadrops can cause diarrhea and vomiting. These may not be the only side effects that can occur with the use of Antirobe Aquadrops. Monitor your pet for side effects and contact your veterinarian immediately if troublesome or worsening side effects occur.
