What is a Generic Drug?

A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.

Description

Atopiclair nonsteroidal cream is a topical medication available by prescription to relieve itching, burning, and pain caused by several types of skin conditions, such as atopic dermatitis and allergic contact dermatitis.

Atopiclair is dispensed in a 100 gram tube.

Directions

Atopiclair should be used as directed by your doctor. Refer any questions or concerns you may have to your doctor or pharmacist.

Atopiclair should be applied to the affected area(s) of the skin two to three times daily as needed. The cream should be gently massaged into the skin. Avoid contact with your eyes. Wash your hands before and after you use Atopiclair.

If the product has expired or if the packaging is damaged, avoid use.

Atopiclair should be stored at room temperature up to 25°C (77°F).

Ingredients

Deionized water, ethylhexyl palmitate, pentylene glycol, butyrospermum parkii, capryloyl glycine, glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate, arachidyl glucoside, behenyl alcohol, arachidyl alcohol, bisabolol, tocopheryl acetate (antioxidant), glycyrrhetinic acid, carbomer, ethylhexylglycerin, piroctone olamine, sodium hydroxide, allantoin, DMDM hydantoin, vitis vinifera, disodium EDTA, ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, sodium hyaluronate, propyl gallate, telmesteine, and butylene glycol are the Atopiclair cream ingredients.

Contraindications

Patients who are allergic to any of Atopiclair’s ingredients should avoid using the medication.

Cautions

  • Before you start treatment with Atopiclair cream, inform your doctor of:
    • All the medications you use, including lotions, creams, and ointments
    • Your allergies
    • Your current health problem
    • Your past medical history
    • Your pregnancy or breastfeeding status
  • Shea butter, a derivative of shea nut oil, is contained in Atopiclair cream. If you are allergic to nuts or nut oil, consult with your doctor before use.

Side Effects

Skin irritation can occur. Immediately notify your doctor of any bothersome or persistent side effects that develop.
