Terms & Conditions of Program
A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.
The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is that generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (eg. different shape or color), as trademarks laws prevent a generic from looking exactly like the brand-name drug.
Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to develop a drug. When the brand-name patent expires, generic companies can manufacture a copy of the brand-name and sell it at a substantial discount.
Bactroban ointment is a prescription antibiotic skin cream for skin infection treatment. It is also prescribed for off-label use to treat bacterial infections in the nose. When used this way the technique is called Bactroban irrigation, and a saline solution is mixed with the antibiotic cream and rinsed into the nostrils to treat infection in the nose. Doctors will occasionally recommend this treatment opposed to using oral antibiotics for the infection. Some people may use Bactroban nasal ointment for nosebleeds too.
You can buy Bactroban nasal ointment with a doctor’s prescription, and the best price on it when ordering medication online from Canada Drugs Direct.
For topical skin antibiotic treatment:
Apply moderate amount of ointment to affected areas of skin three (3) times per day over one (1) to two (2) weeks.
For antibiotic nasal irrigation:
Wash your hands with soap and warm water before mixing solution.
Mix sinus saline solution into rinse bottle and add two (2) levelled teaspoons of non-iodized salt per quart of water before shaking or stirring. Some people choose to add one (1) levelled teaspoon of baking soda (pure bicarbonate) to the solution to make it less irritating.
Add one (1) inch of Bactroban ointment into the rinse bottle and cap the bottle tightly. Shake slowly to dissolve the ointment. Let the bottle sit at room temperature and then shake again until the ointment is dissolved.
Add 50cc of the solution thoroughly into each nostril as needed.
Repeat two (2) times daily until infection clears. If infection remains after two (2) weeks of treatment see doctor again.
Never exceed dosage regulations of not exceeding two (2) applications (four (4) total, max of two (2) for each nostril) per day if using ointment for Bactroban irrigation for nose infection treatment.
Be aware of expiry date for product.
Drug interaction risks exist between Bactroban ointment and other antibiotic medications that contain Chloromycetin or Chloramphenicol. Do not use these medications at the same time.
It is best to tell your doctor of all medications you are currently taking before getting your prescription and proceeding to buy Bactroban nasal ointment.
Bactroban nasal ointment side effects are rare, but some people may experience diarrhea along with burning, stinging, pain, or irritation at the application site. If you experience Bactroban nasal ointment side effects, you should discontinue use and talk to your doctor again about other skin or nasal infection treatment medications.
