Terms & Conditions of Program
A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.
The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is that generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (eg. different shape or color), as trademarks laws prevent a generic from looking exactly like the brand-name drug.
Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to develop a drug. When the brand-name patent expires, generic companies can manufacture a copy of the brand-name and sell it at a substantial discount.
Breztri Aerosphere is an inhaler that contains three drugs used to treat patients suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Budesonide (inhaled corticosteroid), glycopyrrolate (anticholinergic), and formoterol fumarate (long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist) are contained in Breztri Aerosphere.
Breztri comes as a pressurized metered dose inhaler. You should inhale the contents of Breztri by mouth. Each puff supplies 160 mcg of budesonide, 9 mcg of glycopyrrolate, and 4.8 mcg of formoterol fumarate.
Maintenance COPD treatment dosing is 2 puffs by mouth two times a day. To prevent thrush, an oral fungal infection, you should rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after using Breztri.
You should administer per the instructions on your prescription label. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions about how to use your inhaler.
You should not use Breztri to relieve the sudden onset of breathing trouble.
Micronized budesonide, micronized glycopyrrolate, and micronized formoterol fumarate are the active ingredients contained in Breztri Aerosphere.
Avoid using Breztri if you have any allergies to budesonide, glycopyrrolate, formoterol fumarate, or any of the other ingredients contained in Breztri.
Breztri Aerosphere can cause the following side effects: back pain, thrush, influenza, muscle spasm, diarrhea, urinary tract infection, upper respiratory tract infection, pneumonia, and sinusitis.
These are not all the potential side effects that can be caused by Breztri Aerosphere. Call your doctor if you experience negative or persistent side effects.
