Take BUCCASTEM exactly as directed by your doctor.
The normal dose is 3-6 mg by mouth between the lips and gums twice daily. Leave BUCCASTEM in place for one to two hours while it slowly dissolves. Do not move BUCCASTEM around, as this may cause it to dissolve too quickly and increase certain side effects.
Do not take BUCCASTEM longer than two days unless directed by your doctor.
The active ingredient in BUCCASTEM is prochlorperazine. It comes as BUCCASTEM 3 mg tablets.
