Edarbyclor is generally initiated at a dose of 40 mg/12.5 mg by mouth once daily. The dose may be increased by your doctor, up to a maximum dose of 40 mg/25 mg, until goal blood pressure is achieved.
Edarbyclor may be used with other medications that treat high blood pressure.
Azilsartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and chlorthalidone, a thiazide-like diuretic, are contained in each Edarbyclor tablet.
Mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, fumaric acid, sodium hydroxide, hydroxypropyl cellulose, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, hypromellose 2910, talc, titanium dioxide, ferric oxide red, polyethylene glycol 8000, and printing ink gray F1 are the inactive ingredients included.
Edarbyclor should be avoided in patients whose kidneys cannot produce urine.
Patients with diabetes should avoid taking Edarbyclor with medications that contain aliskiren.
Edarbyclor has an FDA Boxed Warning against its use in pregnancy as the medication can harm a fetus. Edarbyclor should be stopped once pregnancy is detected.
Common Edarbyclor medication side effects include dizziness and fatigue; however, patients may experience other side effects as well. If you have concerning or persistent side effects, call your doctor right away.
