Select an injection site - abdomen (excluding 2” radius around navel) / front of thighs (at least 2 inches above the knee and 2 inches below the groin) / back of upper arms / buttocks.
Uncap the pen by twisting off base cap and throw it away. Do not put the base cap back on.
Place the clear base flat and firmly at the injection site and unlock the pen.

Doses loaded into pen (with first ‘click’) must be injected at that time. Allowing them to remain loaded into the pen but not injected will cause the medication to spoil.
Only inject medication at one of the 4 suitable injection locations indicated above, and do not inject at the same injection repeatedly to avoid the risk of developing lipodystrophy.
