  • Products must be new. We cannot match the price of any used, short expiry or expired product.

What is a Generic Drug?

A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.

The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is that generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (eg. different shape or color), as trademarks laws prevent a generic from looking exactly like the brand-name drug.

Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to develop a drug. When the brand-name patent expires, generic companies can manufacture a copy of the brand-name and sell it at a substantial discount.

Description

Estrace is a prescription menopause treatment medication for relief of vaginal dryness, burning, itching, urination urgency, and/or irritation. It is a cream that is applied right onto the genital area to provide more immediate relief from vaginal menopause symptoms and helps women enjoy less discomfort as well as being able to enjoy sexual intercourse more comfortably with their partner. Replenishing estrogen levels in the body with this medicated estrogen cream may also promote other health benefits.

You can buy Estrace vaginal cream with a doctor's prescription, and your best price on it will be when you order medication online from Canada Drugs Direct.

Directions

Your Estrace vaginal cream dosage will be determined by medical condition and response to treatment. Typically, it is application of a moderate amount of the cream applied once daily as needed when women are going through menopause.

To use Estrace vaginal cream:

  • Fill the applicator with medication as directed in the instructions provided in the medication packaging
  • Insert the applicator high into the vagina and press the plunger to release the medication
  • Clean the applicator with warm soapy water and rinse well. Do not use hot or boiling water

Ingredients

The active ingredient in Estrace vaginal cream is Estradiol.

Cautions

Tell your doctor if you have any history of vaginal bleeding with unknown cause, cancer, blood clots, stroke, heart disease, liver or kidney disease, swelling disorders like angioedema, blood clotting disorders, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol or triglyceride levels, obesity, lupus, hypothyroidism, mineral imbalances, hypoparathyroidism, uterus problems, gallbladder disease, asthma, seizures, migraine headaches, mental or mood disorders, or blood disorders like porphyria before beginning on Estrace.

Estrace may not be suitable for women who smoke tobacco, as it can increase risk of blood clots, high blood pressure, and heart attack for women who are over 35 years of age.

Tell your doctor if you have surgery scheduled soon before starting on this medication

Estrace may cause blotchy, dark areas on your face and skin with a condition called melasma. It is rare, but when it does occur sunlight exposure can make it worse. Tanning or using sunbeds should be avoided if so.

Interactions

There is the possibility of drug interaction risks between Estrace and other Rx medications or supplements, including as anastrozole, exemestane, letrozole, fulvestrant, ospemifene, raloxifene, tamoxifen, toremifene, and tranexamic acid. Tell your doctor of all medications you are currently taking before getting a prescription and proceeding to buy Estrace vaginal cream.

Side Effects

Estrace vaginal cream side effects are uncommon, but some women may experience nausea or vomiting, bloating, breast tenderness, headaches, or excessive body weight changes. If Estrace side effects are experienced, then you should discontinue use and speak to your doctor about different menopause treatment medication alternatives.
