The inactive ingredients contained in all Exforge HCT tablets include microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, macrogol 4000, and talc. The 5 mg/160 mg/12.5 mg tablet also contains titanium dioxide; the 10 mg/160 mg/12.5 mg tablet also contains titanium dioxide and yellow and red iron oxides; the 5 mg/160 mg/25 mg tablet also contains titanium dioxide and yellow iron oxide; the 10 mg/160 mg/25 mg and 10 mg/320 mg/25 mg tablets also contain yellow iron oxide.
Do not take Exforge HCT if you are allergic to amlodipine, valsartan, hydrochlorothiazide or any of its other ingredients or excipients.
Do not take Exforge HCT if you are allergic to sulfa drugs.
Do not take Exforge HCT if your kidneys are not producing urine.
Exforge HCT contains a FDA Boxed Warning against the use of the medication during pregnancy. Exforge HCT can cause harm and death to an unborn baby.
Exforge HCT side effects include peripheral edema, headache, indigestion, fatigue, muscle spasms, back pain, nausea, and nasopharyngitis; however, these are not all the side effects that can occur with Exforge HCT use.
