Directions

The standard Florinef dosage is to take the medication once daily or as indicated in your prescription. It is also best to take the medication at around the same time every day.

Cautions

Tell your doctor if you have any history of fungal blood infections, bleeding problems, blood clots, brittle bones (osteoporosis), diabetes, eye problems, heart problems, high blood pressure, infections, kidney or liver disease, mental or mood disorders, low blood minerals, stomach or intestinal problems, seizure, or thyroid problems before beginning on Florinef.

This medication may cause the body to retain salt (sodium) and get rid of excessive levels of other salts like calcium and potassium. Also tell your doctor of any physiological conditions or dietary preferences that might be relevant given this information and using Florinef.

Florinef may also mask signs of infection and put you at greater risk of infections while you are being treated with the medication.
