Use the inhaler to crush and inhale one capsule every twelve hours for asthma or COPD. For exercised-induced bronchospasm, inhale the contents of one capsule 15 minutes before exercise.
The active ingredient in Foradil is formoterol fumarate.
Drug-drug interactions are rare with inhaled medications, but possible interactions may include the following:
Never use Foradil by itself for the treatment of asthma because it can increase the risk of death. It should be combined with a corticosteroid.
Do not swallow the capsules. Use the supplied inhaler device.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of heart disease or nervous system disorders.
