Directions

The standard Invega dosage is to take either Invega 3mg or Invega 6mg once daily, with or without food. Your doctor will determine which dosage is most appropriate for you based on your age, medical condition, and response to treatment.

Cautions

Tell your doctor if you have any history of liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, seizures, low white blood cell count, Parkinson's disease, dementia, esophagus or stomach / intestinal blockage disorders, eye problems like cataracts or glaucoma, diabetes, high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, or sleep apnea before beginning on Invega ER.

This medication may cause a condition that causes QT prolongation, a heart rhythm disorder that may case irregular heartbeat or other symptoms that may require medical attention.

It is best to avoid excessive alcohol consumption and all recreational drug use while taking Invega ER.

Invega ER may make you dizzy or drowsy.

This medication may make you less able to perspire, which may increase the risk of heat stroke for some people depending on the environment they are in.

Interactions

There is the possibility of drug interaction risks between Invega ER and other Rx medications, including amiodarone, chlorpromazine, moxifloxacin, quinidine, sotalol, procainamide, thioridazine, opioid pain or cough relievers like codeine and hydrocodone, drugs for sleep or anxiety like alprazolam and lorazepam, muscle relaxants like carisoprodol and cyclobenzaprine and antihistamines containing cetirizine or diphenhydramine. Side Effects
