Katerzia (Amlodipine) comes in a 1 mg/mL oral suspension.
Measure out your dose in milliliters using a measuring tool. Follow your prescription label's instructions.
5 mg by mouth once daily is the recommended starting dose in adults. Do not take more than 10 mg once daily. For small or elderly patients or patients who have liver problems, the starting dose may be 2.5 mg by mouth once daily.
2.5 mg to 5 mg by mouth once daily is the recommended starting dose in pediatric patients.
Amlodipine Benzoate, a calcium channel blocker, is the active ingredient in Katerzia.
Avoid taking Katerzia if you have any allergy to amlodipine or other calcium channel blockers.
Drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, and nausea are common side effects of Katerzia.
Immediately talk to your doctor if you experience bothersome or continuous side effects.
