Keppra XR is a medication that you take by mouth. It’s important to swallow the tablets whole, without breaking, chewing, or crushing them. This drug is typically started at a dosage of 1,000 mg once a day. Your doctor may raise the dose by 1,000 mg every two weeks until you reach a maximum of 3,000 mg each day.
