The recommended Lastacaft eye drops dosage is to place one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily.
Avoid letting the tip of the bottle touch any surface in order to prevent contamination.
If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using Lastacraft. You may reinsert them 10 minutes after using Lastacaft.
If you are also using another eye product, wait at least 5 minutes between each product.
The active ingredient in Lastacaft eye drops is the antihistamine alcaftadine.
Benzalkonium chloride 0.005%, edetate disodium, monobasic sodium phosphate, purified water, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, and/or hydrochloric acid are the inactive ingredients included.
You should avoid using Lastacaft if you have an allergy to any of its ingredients or if the solution looks cloudy or develops changes in color. In addition, you should avoid using Lastacaft for irritation caused by contact lenses.
If you experience pain in the eye, changes in vision, redness of the eye, or itchiness of the eye that worsens or lasts longer 72 hours, immediately stop Lastacaft use and notify your doctor.
