The starting dosage is 2 mg by mouth once daily. The dosage may be increased to 4 mg daily or decreased to 1 mg once daily.
The active ingredient in Livalo is pitavastatin. Pitavastatin is known to have fewer drug-drug interactions than other medications in the same class. However, it still has some interactions, including:
