Nalcrom is available in 100 mg capsules for oral administration.
Take Nalcrom as your doctor has described. If you have any questions or concerns, speak with your doctor or pharmacist.
In adults, the typical starting dose is 200 mg, or 2 capsules, orally four times a day. The medication should be taken 15-20 minutes prior to meals.
In pediatric patients aged 2-14, the typical starting dose is 100 mg, or one capsule, orally four times a day. The medication should be taken 15-20 minutes prior to meals.
The contents may be removed from the capsule and dissolved in 1 teaspoonful of hot water, then diluted with 4 teaspoons of cold water.
Depending on how well you respond and tolerate Nalcrom, your dose may be altered by your doctor.
The active ingredient contained in Nalcrom capsules is sodium cromoglicate. Gelatin and iron oxide are the inactive ingredients.
If you are allergic to Nalcrom or any of its ingredients, do not take this medication.
Some of the most common Nalcrom side effects include the following: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, headache, sleep problems, skin rashes, sneezing, cough, unpleasant taste, and joint pain; however, these are not the only side effects that can occur. If you experience side effects that concern you or will not reside, immediately speak with your doctor.
