Oseni is available as a tablet in various strengths:
12.5 mg alogliptin/15 mg pioglitazone, 12.5 mg/30 mg pioglitazone, 12.5 mg alogliptin/45 mg pioglitazone
25 mg alogliptin/15 mg pioglitazone, 25 mg alogliptin/30 mg pioglitazone, 25 mg alogliptin/45 mg pioglitazone
Your initial dose will be based on your current treatment and medical condition(s) and should not be more than alogliptin 25 mg/pioglitazone 45 mg per day.
You may be instructed to take a lower dose if you have heart failure, kidney problems, or if you take certain medications such as gemfibrozil.
Oseni may be taken with or without food.
Alogliptin and pioglitazone are the active ingredients contained in Oseni.
Talk to your doctor about your allergies. You should not take Oseni if you are allergic to alogliptin, pioglitazone, or any of the other ingredients in Oseni.
You should not take Oseni if you have been diagnosed with NYHA Class III or IV heart failure.

Common cold, back pain, and upper respiratory tract infection are the most common side effects of Oseni. Tell your doctor right away if you develop side effects that are bothersome or won't go away.
