What is a Generic Drug?

A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Description

Fostemsavir, commercially known as Rukobia, is a prescription medication specifically indicated for the treatment of HIV-1. Fostemsavir is prescribed for patients who are considered "treatment-experienced," having previously undergone other HIV-1 treatments. It is part of the antiretroviral drug class.

Fostemsavir is usually only prescribed by a specialist who specializes in infectious diseases.

Directions

The typical dosage for Fostemsavir is one tablet (600 mg) taken orally twice daily. It can be taken with or without food for flexibility in administration.

Cautions

Patients allergic to any Fostemsavir components should avoid the medication.

Individuals with a history of cardiac problems or taking medications prolonging QTc should consult their doctors before initiating Fostemsavir.
