You should take one oral tablet once a day for 28 days; one white active tablet once a day for the first 24 days, then one green inactive tablet once a day for the following 4 days.

The active ingredient in the active Slynd tablets is drospirenone. Inactive ingredients include the following: microcrystalline cellulose NF, anhydrous lactose NF, colloidal silicon dioxide NF, magnesium stearate NF, polyvinyl alcohol partially hydrolyzed NF, talc NF, titanium dioxide NF, and polyethylene glycol NF.
Inactive ingredients in the green inactive tablets include the following: lactose monohydrate NF, corn starch NF, povidone 30000 NF, colloidal silicon dioxide NF, magnesium stearate NF, hypromellose NF, talc NF, titanium dioxide USP, polysorbate 2910 NF, triacetin NF, FD&C blue 2 aluminum lake, and yellow ferric oxide.
Slynd birth control should be avoided in patients with kidney issues, adrenal insufficiency, active or a history of progestin-sensitive cancers, benign or malignant liver tumors, liver impairment, or undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding.
Some, but not all, Slynd birth control side effects include acne, abnormal vaginal bleeding, headache, breast pain, weight gain, nausea, vaginal hemorrhage, decreased sex drive, breast tenderness, and irregular periods.
