Directions

Tagrisso should be taken as your doctor has directed.

Recommended dose: Take 80 mg by mouth once daily with or without food.

Ingredients

Osimertinib is the active ingredient in Tagrisso.

Mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, low-substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium stearyl fumarate, polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide, macrogol 3350, talc, ferric oxide yellow, ferric oxide red, and ferric oxide black are the inactive ingredients included.

Cautions

  • Before treatment with Tagrisso for lung cancer is initiated, be sure to discuss the following with your doctor:
    • All the medications you take, including prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, and supplements
    • Your allergies
    • Any existing health concerns

    • If you are pregnant
    • If you are breastfeeding
  • Tagrisso contains the following warnings and precautions:
    • Pneumonitis and interstitial lung disease
    • A type of heart arrhythmia called QT interval prolongation
    • Cardiomyopathy
    • Corneal inflammation, or keratitis
    • Severe skin conditions like Erythema Multiforme Major, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis
    • Cutaneous vasculitis
    • Aplastic anemia
    • Fetal harm. Females of childbearing age are advised to use effective contraception during Tagrisso treatment and for a minimum of 6 weeks after receiving the final dose. Males with female partners who are of childbearing age are advised to use effective contraception during Tagrisso treatment and for a minimum of 4 months after receiving the final dose

Side Effects

Tagrisso side effects include but are not limited to blood cell counts that are not within normal range, rash, anemia, diarrhea, musculoskeletal pain, nail toxicity, fatigue, mouth swelling/sores, and dry skin. Notify your doctor right away if you experience bothersome or persistent side effects.
