Inactive ingredients in Valcyte oral solution include the following: sodium benzoate, fumaric acid, povidone K-30, sodium saccharin, mannitol, and tutti-frutti flavoring.
If you have an allergy to valganciclovir or ganciclovir, you should not take Valcyte.
Valcyte has the following FDA Boxed Warnings:
Some, but not all, Valcyte side effects include the following: diarrhea, fever, fatigue, nausea, tremor, neutropenia, anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, headache, sleep problems, urinary tract infection, upper respiratory tract infection, and vomiting.
